John Hance, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, and president of Hance Financial, LLC, began his career in the financial services industry in 1989 when he joined the Guardian Life Insurance Company as a field representative. He founded Hance Financial, LLC in 2009, began recruiting advisors in 2010, and now supervises 14 independent financial advisors.

John has always been an independent business owner and entrepreneur. He is committed to helping clients achieve financial independence and confidence in their decisions. He specializes in financial and tax planning, investments, wealth management, and protection solutions.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota with a minor in mathematics. In 1990 he earned his CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter®) designation from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. In 2015 he earned his ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant®) also from The American College. Also in 2015 he earned his CFP (Certified Financial PlannerTM) designation. He currently holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 66, and 99 securities licenses, as well as health and life insurance licenses. To keep up with the ever-changing financial industry, John is a member of Financial Services Institute, the Financial Planning Association of Minnesota, and attends numerous continuing education seminars, symposiums, and webinars.

John lives in Savage, Minnesota, with his wife Jean. John enjoys spending time with family, fishing walleyes, and hunting deer.
